DESCRIPTION

The Glenburgie 100 Proof Edition #2, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage, is a 15-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Speyside region. Fully matured in First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts, it is bottled at a strength of 57.1% ABV (100 Proof).

Its flavor profile is characterized by candied fruits, maple syrup, and herbal notes, which highlight the oily Speyside character of Glenburgie. The nose is dominated by sweet sherry and fruit notes, while the palate blends ripe berries and syrup with subtle herbal tones and a hint of oak. The finish is long, warming, and accompanied by pronounced sherry sweetness and a touch of spice.

The Glenburgie 100 Proof Edition #2 is non-chill-filtered and bottled without coloring to preserve its full flavor.

  • Glenburgie - Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

    Glenburgie, also known as Glenburgie-Glenlivet, Glen Burgie, or Glenburry, is a whisky distillery near Alves, Moray. There is evidence that the distillery was founded as early as 1810, at that time under the name Kilnflat. Official records of the distillery only exist from 1829. After the distillery fell into financial difficulties, it was closed in 1870 and renamed Glenburgie in 1871.

    In 2000, production at Glenburgie was completely halted. Between 2003-2004, the distillery was completely rebuilt, retaining only the stills from the old distillery. Soon after, in 2006, two more stills were added, increasing the total production capacity to around 4,200,000 liters of pure alcohol per year.

    The majority of the whisky distilled at Glenburgie is used for blends, especially for Ballantine's, but also for Old Smuggler.
