DESCRIPTION

Dies ist ein nachdenklich stimmender, äußerst bewährter Single Malt Whisky, der aus Gerste destilliert wird, die von acht Familienbetrieben angebaut wird. Die Gerstensorten Optic und Oxbridge wurden 2009 über die gesamte Insel verteilt angebaut. Die Spirituose wurde Anfang 2010 destilliert, in ehemalige Bourbon- und französische Weinfässer gefüllt und in Lagerhäusern bei Loch Indaal gereift.

TASTING NOTES
Nase
Nose		 Der blumige Charakter der Bruichladdich-Spirituose tritt sofort in den Vordergrund, seine Reinheit und Offenheit sind erfrischend und anregend zugleich. Eine Meeresbrise mit zartem Blumenbouquet weht heran, bevor die Schönheit des jungen, sauberen Bruichladdich mit knackig süßem Apfel, reifer Stachelbeere und Pfirsich zum Vorschein kommt. Die gemälzte Gerste bringt braunen Zucker und Toffee mit sich, während die Aromen der getoasteten Eiche ruhig und zurückhaltend im Hintergrund bleiben, damit das Malz und die Spirituose zur Geltung kommen.
Gaumen
Palate		 Das Mundgefühl, die Viskosität, ist ein Genuss. Die Trickle-Destillation ist ein langsames und einfaches Verfahren, das jedoch für die Erzeugung dieser Qualität von grundlegender Bedeutung ist. Die Textur ist muskulös und reichhaltig, die natürlichen Öle, die sanft aus dem Getreide herausgelockt werden, mäßigen die Würze, so dass ihr Charakter, ihr junger, sauberer, frischer Charme sich entfalten kann.

Finish		 Würzige Zitrone und Note von windgepeitschtem Salz.
