Bimber ist beliebt. Um die stetig wachsende Nachfrage zu bedienen sowie ihre Leidenschaft fürs Verblenden auszuleben, hat sich die Craft-Brennerei aus London daher etwas einfallen lassen – und Apogee ins Leben gerufen. Der Pure Malt ist das Äquivalent zu einem Blended Malt Whisky und besteht aus feinsten Single Malts der Highlands und der Speyside. Nach mindestens 12 Jahren Reifezeit werden diese meisterhaft vermählt und in ehemaligen Bimber Bourbon Casks vollendet.

Entwickelt als Hommage an die hohe Kunst des Blendings, bietet Apogee XII eine makellose Balance, gespickt mit zahlreichen geschmacklichen Facetten und einer Komplexität, die sich aus dem lebhaften, fruchtigen und würzigen Charakter der Ex-Bimber-Fässer ergibt. "Excellent", findet Serge Valentin von Whiskyfun. Auch Preis und Leistung weiß Apogee gut zu verbinden. Der Pure Malt Whisky präsentiert sich in einer auffälligen, speziell angefertigten Flasche aus einem haptischen, gehämmerten Glas, das die Oberflächen der kleinen Kupferbrennblasen von Bimber nachahmt.
